When this blog was born in September 2009, it was titled “Eats, Shoots and Lays” as a nod to that excellent reference book “Eats, Shoots and Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation.” I had chickens at the time, so that made sense. Years later, the chickens are dead (murdered, actually), yet the blog lives on.
In March 2012, I retitled the blog “Observe and report” because that’s what I do. I provide commentary about strange things I witness, mostly grammar mistakes. As of May 2012, that commentary comes in letter form (with some special posts here and there).
Hey there Beth! I am a friend of Sophia. We had an ale rendezvous last night and I told her I started blogging as of late. She told me about yours. I was immediately interested! So, if you don’t mind, I’d like to see you in my inbox!!
Fondly,

Love that you’re still keeping up with the blog. It’s hilarious as usual. That blog sub-header looks a tad familiar though 🙂

Thank you for the comment and for reading. I remember your blog, but not the tagline. I had to look it up (instead of waiting for it on RSS). We are two of a kind, then, loving us a little Dorothy Parker.

Hi Beth,
I actually stumbled upon your blog by googling images of necrotizing fascitis while working night shift at my hospital (it was a slow night). I never really leave comments on blogs, since I’m more of the read and leave type, but had to tell you that I love your blog (witty, funny and educational!).
Thank you also for introducing me to new diseases such as cancrum oris- I do love learning about new diseases, you never know when I might see one in the hospital!
Anyway, Thank you~

Thank you for stopping by and continuing to visit! Perhaps you’d like to suggest a disease for me to investigate. You know I’d love that!
Thanks again for the comment and for reading. We are clearly two of a kind!
